Pablo Floría Martín

Pablo Floría Martín graduated in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences from the European University of Madrid (Universidad Europea, UE) in 1999, and obtained his PhD from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, UAM) in 2006. Since May 2010 he has been teaching in the Sports and Computer Science Department at the Pablo de Olavide University (Universidad Pablo de Olavide, UPO) in Seville.

His work has been published in over thirty articles in indexed journals and used in national and international conferences. His research area focuses on biomechanics centred on the analysis of different sports, such as swimming, gymnastics or athletics (running, jumping and throwing).

His research area currently concentrates on the study of running biomechanics, specifically on the analysis and variability of coordination  and is jointly undertaken by Professor Drew Harrison (Biomechanics Research Unit at the University of Limerick, Ireland) and Professor Reed Ferber (Running Injury Clinic at the University of Calgary, Canada).

As a result of his research in running biomechanics, he set up the spin-off I+D-Running. He is a regular reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals, such as the European Journal of Sports Sciences, Sports Biomechanics, Journal of Applied Biomechanics and the International Journal of Sports Medicine.
