David Barranco Gil

David Barranco holds a PhD in Physical Activity and Sports Science from the Universidad Europea of Madrid (Universidad Europea, UE). Professor of the Master's degree in Cycling at the UE. Principal Investigator of the Cycling Health and Performance (CH&P) Research Group at the UE of Madrid. Member of the Technical committee on Health COLEF, General Council of Physical Education and Sports (Consejo General de la Educación Física y Deportiva).

Author of various cycling related scientific articles in journals such as IJSPP, IJSM, Frontiers in Physiology, IJERPH or JSMS. Associate Editor of the Open Access online journal “Journal of Science and Cycling”. Coordinator of the Cycling Technification Centre of the Spanish Cycling Federation (Federación Española de Ciclismo, FMC ) and the UE of Madrid for junior, under-23 and elite categories in road cycling discipline. National Cycling Coach (Level III, Royal Spanish Cycling Federation). Coach within the Cofidis Programme for Paralympic Promises. Cyclists and triathletes coach for different categories and specialities.
