Alberto Encarnación Martínez

Alberto Encarnación Martínez graduated in Physical Education and Sports from the University of Valencia (Universidad de Valencia, UV), Spain, in 2005. In 2012 he received his PhD in Physical Education and Sports from the same university. He worked for four years as a Researcher at the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia (Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia, IBV), two of them as a Research Fellow, and taught Sports Biomechanics at the Catholic University of Murcia (Universidad Católica de Murcia, UCAM) for 8 years. He is currently a Tenure Track 1 Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sports. His research focuses on the biomechanical study and analysis of physical activity and sports. As a member of the Research Group Sports Biomechanics and Physical Activity GIBD (Grupo de Investigación en Biomecánica Deportiva), he collaborates in several projects and is the PI, Principal Investigator, responsible for technology transfer projects, in cooperation with companies from the sports machinery industry.
