María Rosario Salvador Palmer
María Rosario Salvador Palmer received her PhD in Physical Sciences from the University of Valencia (Universidad de Valencia, UV) in 1986. She is currently a Tenured University Professor in the Department of Physiology, the Director of the Master's degree in Physiology and the Coordinator of the Doctoral Studies Programme in Physiology at the UV. Her two principal research lines are medical physics (utilization of physical techniques in the biomedical and sports field) in laser metrology, structured light and infrared thermography for the analysis of sports performance and the study of pathologies that affect peripheral vascularization, and cellular pathophysiology, with the study on antioxidant defences and the therapeutic potential of molecules, such as natural polyphenols and NAD+, in the treatment of cancer and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and as protection against ionizing radiation.
